Rosamund Pike has won over fans with her portrayal of Elspeth in the film. salty burnwhich is now streaming on Prime Video.
The 44-year-old Oscar-nominated actress spoke out in a new interview and reacted to fans who praised her work and also revealed some of the improvised lines she did, although they were cut from the finished film.
“I am totally amazed! I am puzzled. I kind of don’t know what to do with it,” Rosamund said. Variety in response to the love of the fans.
He added: “I’ve seen people on Instagram quoting lines and playing clips and also making their own edits, putting Elspeth together with other characters I’ve played. I think in our cautious, filtered world, where everyone is so cautious, it’s nice to see someone without filters. She’s in a bubble, no one exists except the people in her orbit, so she can say whatever she wants without consequences. “She doesn’t exist in the real world.”

Rosamund said it was hard not to laugh while working with the cast.
“It was difficult, especially with some of the improvisations that people came up with. There was a whole scene where Jacob [Elordi] and I did it about his ex-girlfriend who committed suicide after he left her. —Well, of course, darling. How could I stand to live after you? Then there was a time when I asked her if a new girlfriend was stable and she said yes. I said something like, ‘Oh, good.’ Because one suicide may be elegant, but two are inappropriate. Normally I’m not a big improviser, but with Elspeth, somehow, I could hear her. I knew who she was,” he said.
