Reshma Gulani started her acting career in 2016. She has acted in many Hindi television drama serials including Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya, Udaan, Naamkarann and a few others. He has also appeared in television commercials and music videos.
In 2022, she became a part of Star Bharat’s TV show Swayamvar Mika Di Wohti. The show is about finding a life partner for famous Punjabi singer Mika Singh. The show started streaming on 19 June 2021 at 8 PM and is also available on Disney Hotstar. The show will be hosted by singer Shaan. Mika posted a promo on Instagram calling it “the greatest show of the year”. The video starts with Shaan discussing how well he knows Mika. Mika makes a dramatic entrance, wearing a long blue-black cloak with various baubles, and with body language as if he is searching for his bride, with the song Woh Ladki Hai Kahan playing in the background. The show features 12 single women who are interested in marrying Mika. A video from the show also shows that a contestant gifts a small palanquin to Mika and asks him to take her in it after getting married. The other one catches her and pulls her cheeks and says, “Ekdum Mishti be like Roshgulla.” Another contestant gets down on her knees to say ‘I love you’ to Mika Singh. Other contestants on the show include Chandrani Das, Neet Mahal, Bushra Shaikh, Poonam Sood, Nisha Dubey, Pratiksha Das, Divya Ra and Dhvani Pawar.
After the release of the contestant’s introduction video, viewers started comparing her with Shehnaaz Gill of the show. Some viewers also called her the ‘Shehnaz Gill’ of the show. While talking about the show during an interview, Shaan said,
Mika’s image is of a man wearing sunglasses, a chain and talking in a heavy voice. But there are many things that he has hidden behind his dark shades. I know those secrets. I’m also very interested in human interactions, relationships. Mika is not very expressive so I will help the girls to know their unseen side. I also have some experience that I can use to help her find her life partner.
