Yeri of legendary girl group Red Velvet will soon be starring as the main character in Cheongdam International High School, an OTT teen thriller. SM Entertainment has announced that the Red Velvet star will be starring in the next film as Baek Je-na, the heir to the Hanmyeong Group (conglomerate). This will be the idol’s third acting effort, after appearing on tvN’s Drama Stage – Mint Condition and Blue Birthday last year. Netizens have praised the 23-year-old in previous appearances, and fans can’t wait to see her return to the big screen.
Yeri will take on the role of the high school queen at Cheongdam International High School.
According to SM Entertainment, Yera’s character Baek Je-na will reign as the queen of ‘Diamond 6’, the elite group of Cheongdam International High School, in the K-drama. The company went on to say that the singer, who is currently rehearsing for her role, will undergo an “extraordinary makeover” to show her dark and bold side while appearing on the show.

According to sources, the story of the film focuses on Baek-Je na, who becomes the main suspect in the murder of the student.
