Ravinder Singh is an Indian author. He was an IT professional before turning towards writing. His first book, I too had a Love Story, is an autobiographical novel. Due to the popularity of the protagonist of this novel, he is known as Ravin among his readers. Apart from being a writer, Ravinder is also an entrepreneur and digital creator.

Ravinder Singh was born on Thursday, 4 February 1982 (age 41 years; as of 2023) in Calcutta, West Bengal, India. Later, his family moved to Burla, Odisha, where he completed his primary education at Sri Satya Sai Kiddies. He pursued secondary and higher secondary education at Guru Nanak Public School, Sambalpur, Odisha. He pursued a Bachelor of Computer Science Engineering at Guru Nanak Engineering College, Bidar, Karnataka. In 2011, he joined the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad, to pursue an MBA in Strategy and Marketing, which he completed in 2012.

Parents & Siblings
Ravinder’s father is a gurdwara priest, and his mother is a homemaker. They lived in Bengal for a few years and then moved to Burla, Odisha, where they used to live in a Gurudwara complex. They lived in Burla till 2008 and then came to Chandigarh. Ravinder has a younger brother, Manpreet, who lives in the USA.

Ravinder got married to Khushboo Chauhan on 23 September 2012.
Relationships/Affairs
Ravinder had a girlfriend, Khushi, with whom he was going to engage on 14 February 2007, but just a month before, in January 2007, she died in a road accident. It was the biggest setback in Ravinder’s life. Later, to come out of this hard time, he took shelter in writing. He narrated his love story in his first book, I too had a Love Story, which got published in 2008. At the launch of his book, he said,
After the unfortunate incident, I was looking for a reason to live. And I started to pen down the moments I had been through. I can’t deny that. I had to go back in time, close my eyes, and relive the moments, tears rolled down and I wrote the words.”

Computer Engineer
After completing engineering, Ravinder got placed in Infosys Hyderabad. He worked there from November 2003 to July 2010. After his MBA, he got placed at Microsoft, where he worked as Senior Program Manager from May 2012 to February 2013.
Writer
In 2013, Ravinder left his job in the IT sector and took writing as a full-time profession. He struggled to publish his first novel, ‘I too had a Love Story,’ which is an autobiographical novel. At first, Srishti Publishers published it in 2008. It got a great response from the readers, and in 2012, Penguin India republished it.
Later, he published many novels including Can Love Happen Twice, Your Dreams Are Mine Now, and The Belated Bachelor Party.
Entrepreneur
Ravinder’s entrepreneurial journey started with Black Ink. It is a publishing house for debuting authors. It publishes full-length English novels.
Ravinder runs a dating networking site, ‘Let’s Socialize.’
