Under his leadership, he led the Tata Tetley and UK-based Tata Tea deal, one of the largest cross-border acquisitions by an Indian firm in the history of the Indian corporate world. He was appointed as the ASSOCHAM President from July 2013 to November 2015, the longest tenure of any ASSOCHAM President. He was awarded the President’s Medal from Rutgers University. Rana Kapoor has also obtained a PhD degree from GB Pant University of Agriculture and Technology. He enjoys creating artwork and playing golf and has won several golf tournaments for longest drive.
