Ramita Jindal was born on Friday, 16 January 2004 (age 19 years; as in 2023) in Ladwa, Haryana. His zodiac sign is Capricorn. He did his schooling from Agrasen Public School, Kurukshetra. In 2024, Ramita Jindal received her bachelor’s degree in commerce from Hansraj College, Delhi University. His journey into sports shooting began at the age of 13 while studying in 8th grade. He trained at Karan Shooting Academy in Ladwa, Haryana under coach Jagbir Singh. Later, he took professional training at GFG (Guns for Glory) Academy in Chennai.

During her school days, Ramita Jindal secured second and third place in district and state level matches, which earned her a place in national competitions. He won the bronze medal in the CBSE National Championship held at SS International School, Kunjpura Road, Karnal in 2019. At the 2021–22 Junior World Championships held in Lima, Peru, Ramita won a bronze medal, and later, she earned a gold medal. And two silver medals at the 2022 International Junior World Cup.

  • In an interview, she once revealed that Indian female shooters Elavenil Valarivan and Anjum Moudgil are her inspiration. He said,

    When I came to shoot I saw only Anjum Di, Ila Di. And after knowing him, I came to know about Abhinav sir. My entire family is not from sports background.

  • In 2023, the Government of India recognized Ramita’s potential and began supporting her through the Target Olympic Podium Scheme (TOPS). The scheme helps him in weapon servicing, inspection and pellet testing at the Walther factory in Germany.
  • Ramita is also a fitness enthusiast and regularly practices breathing exercises and yoga to keep herself relaxed and calm. He said,

    I worked with a psychologist – Gayatri Vartak. She helps me with all the techniques. I do all the breathing exercises and yoga in the morning. This helps me keep myself relaxed and calm.
