Rajesh Gopinathan was born in 1971 (age 52 years; as of 2023) in Thrissur, Kerala. He grew up in Lucknow where he did his schooling at St. Mary’s Convent Inter College. Later, he joined St. Francis College, Lucknow. In 1994, he graduated from the National Institute of Technology (formerly Regional Engineering College, Tiruchirappalli) in Tiruchirappalli with a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. In 1996, he earned a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the Indian Institute of Management in Ahmedabad, equivalent to an MBA degree.
