Rajat Verma was born on Thursday, 5 October 1995 (age 26 years; as in 2020) in Gorakhpur city of Uttar Pradesh, India. His zodiac sign is Libra. He was fond of acting and drama since childhood. While studying in school he actively participated in various school plays and cultural programs. To hone his skills in the field of acting, Rahul Verma went to the International School of Media and Entertainment Studies, Noida.

In 2021, Rajat Verma began working in the Sony Entertainment drama series Ishq Par Zor Nahin. He plays the role of Kartik Malhotra, the lead character’s brother.
