Raja Kumari is an Indo-American singer, songwriter, rapper and recording artist who blends classical Indian music with hip-hop music. She is known for her collaborations with artists such as Gwen Stefani, Iggy Azalea, Knife Party, Fifth Harmony and Fall Out Boy. She is the recipient of a BMI Pop Award (2016) as a songwriter.

Swetha Yallapragada Rao, known professionally as Raja Kumari, was born on 11 January 1986 (age 38 years; as in 2024) in Claremont, California, United States. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religious Studies. While in college, Raja Kumari studied South Indian culture in depth. To keep her connected to Indian culture and religion, her parents decided to train her in classical dance styles. Kumari is an Indian classical dancer who started dancing at the age of 7; He performed in a concert where Pandit Ravi Shankar was the chief guest. She discovered hip-hop through the Fugees’ album, The Score, when she was in fifth grade. By the age of 14, she was an established freestyle MC.
