Raj Singh Chaudhary was born in Darjeeling, West Bengal, India. According to one source, he was born on 13 July 1975 (age 48 years; as of 2022), and according to another source, he was born on 23 July 1975 (age 48 years; as of 2022). He studied at Goethals Memorial School, Kurseong, Darjeeling and later at Delhi Public School, RK Puram, New Delhi. He graduated from BMS College of Engineering, Bengaluru, Karnataka in 1995 with a degree in Software Engineering. He decided to go to America to pursue MBA and also took admission; However, he did not go abroad to study.

In 2012, he was embroiled in a controversy when he was shooting for the Rajasthani film Mere Desh Main starring Madhurima Tuli and directed by Arif Hamid in Indore. He said that when he asked for his payment after the shooting, he was asked to shoot for 40 more days to get the payment, due to which he lost 2 films. He also claimed that he received only half the payment and refused to dub for the film. He accused producer Ravindra Bishnoi of luring him into acting in the film under the pretext of false promises as Raj was told that Swanand would be the lyricist of the gritty film; However, they later found that this was not the case. When he learned that Ravindra was looking for another artist to dub for his role, he threatened that he had not given the No Objection Certificate (NOC) and that he would lodge a complaint with the Cine and TV Artistes Association of India (CINTAA). Will file a formal complaint. The local court said that if he dubbed and promoted the film with the help of any artist other than him.
