Gaza Strip. Elouf’s post aimed to shed light on the fear and uncertainty children are experiencing amid the ongoing conflict.
The controversy escalated further when journalist Muhammad Shehada shared the photo on his social media account with the caption: “Cognitive dissonance: Jamie Lee Curtis was deeply moved by this image ONLY when she thought they were Israelis. As soon as she found out they were from Gaza, she lost all feeling for them and deleted the photo. Suddenly, the ‘terror of heaven’ became acceptable to her and her tastes!
