Priyadarshini Malik is an Indian businesswoman, educationist and teacher. She is the daughter of All India Trinamool Congress (AITMC) leader Jyotipriya Malik. She came into limelight in October 2023 when the Enforcement Directorate arrested her father and summoned him for questioning in connection with the ration scam that took place during the COVID-19 pandemic in West Bengal.

ration scam
Following the arrest of Jyotipriya Malik by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) over her suspected role in the ration scam, it was revealed that Priyadarshini was appointed as the director of three dummy corporations. These companies were founded by Jyotipriya to channel the money received from selling ration for the underprivileged during the COVID-19 pandemic. According to the ED, the misappropriated amount was deposited in the bank accounts of Priyadarshini and her mother Manideepa. Priyadarshini allegedly deposited Rs. Rs 3.37 crore after the implementation of demonetization by the Government of India. However, when ED officials questioned her on the issue, Priyadarshini claimed that the money she deposited in 2016 was money she earned from tuition. An ED official talked about this in an interview and said,
She (Priyadashini) is a school teacher and claimed that all this amount was earned through tuition. His annual salary in that financial year was Rs 2.48 lakh.
Later ED froze the bank accounts of Mallik family. In her defence, Priyadarshini denied any involvement in the case and claimed that her family was being deliberately targeted. He talked about this in an interview and said,
Now it is very clear that ED first arrests someone and then starts investigation. However, the matter is under investigation and I cannot comment at this time. My father will be in a position to say whether there is any conspiracy behind his arrest.
Several prominent All India Trinamool Congress (AITMC) politicians, including West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, also expressed their opinion in favor of Jyotipriya Mallick and her family.
