Prince Harry loses UK legal challenge over private police protection

Prince Harry has lost his legal challenge over allowing him to make private payments for police protection for himself and his family when they are in the UK.

The Duke of Sussex had requested a judicial review of the rejection of his offer to pay for protection in the United Kingdom.

When Prince Harry stepped down from his royal duties in 2020, he lost the security he once had.

In the UK, the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures stated that it was opposed to the idea that “a wealthy person should be able to ‘buy’ protection securities”, according to the BBC.
