The second season of Pretzels and Puppies, the second chapter of the popular children’s animated series on Apple TV+, is scheduled to premiere on Friday, February 24, 2022 at 12:01 AM EST. The life and adventures of the world’s longest dachshund with his family are described in the book Pretzels and Puppies. The main roles will be played by talented voice actors Mark Duplass and Nasim Pedrard.
According to an Apple TV+ press release, the Pretzels and Puppies Season 2 synopsis is as follows:
“Pretzel is the world’s longest dachshund and a playful and supportive father of five hyperactive puppies. Together with his wife Greta, they invite their dogs to raise their paws to solve the problem. and “make them bark” to their Muttgomery friends and neighbors.”
Steve Altiere (also presenter), Caroline Fraser, Ricardo Curtis and Wes Lui executive produce the Apple Original series, which is co-executively produced by Jennifer Contrucci. Through Apple TV+’s Make Change program, Dr. Tony Wagner, distinguished author and senior fellow at the Learning Policy Institute, serves as the show’s expert on fun, passion and purpose.
The children’s picture book by Margret Rey Pretzels and the Puppies inspired the film.
Pretzel and the Puppies is a television film adaptation of the 1944 children’s comic book Pretzel by Margret and HA Rey, created by Steven Altiere and Kim Howitt. The duo are best known for their Curious George, a series of children’s picture books they developed between 1939 and 1966. Although the picture books document Pretzel and Greta’s travels and learnings as As a couple, Pretzel and the puppies focus on their adventures and learning as a couple. family, including their dogs Puck, Poppy, Paxton, Pippa and Pedro.
The animated sitcom is set in the fictional town of Montgomery, with Pretzel running the family as a housewife parent and Greta as the mayor. According to Apple TV+, the logline for Pretzels and Puppies is as follows:
“When your father is the ‘World’s Longest Dachshund’, the process of growing up takes on a whole new meaning!” Eight episodes follow Pretzel, Greta and the dogs in Muttgomery, their hometown. They are a modern and distinctive family who are always looking for ways to ‘reverberate’ and make the world a better place for their four-legged friends and neighbors. Pretzel and Greta encourage their puppies to solve their own problems, often telling them to “Put those paws ON!” when encountering obstacles.

On February 9, 2023, the official trailer for Pretzels and Dogs Season 2 was released on YouTube. According to the description:
“Pretzel and the Puppies return in Season 2 with the longest dog in the world. In Muttgomery, join Pretzel, Greta and their hyperactive puppies as they learn to solve problems and make the world a better place.”
The narrator reminds viewers that the family will “loan someone else’s legs, have fun, and bark” in the Pretzels and Puppies sequel. Several scenes in the trailer show the Doxies helping the citizens of Muttgomery with their food problems, starting a new adventure, and enjoying the fun, the fun, and the satisfaction. Pretzels and the Puppies is produced by HarperCollins Productions and all episodes of Season 2 will be available to stream in over 100 countries starting February 24, 2023.
