Facts/General Knowledge
- In one of her interviews, the Aashram actress spoke to the media about how she protected two girls and busted a child trafficking gang in Mumbai. She remembers that a friend came to her and told her that two little girls in the salon were dressed unusually. Preeti came into action and reached her destination. After that, a drama took place in which girl power won and the police was called. Explaining the whole situation, he said,
I live close to the salon where two girls were brought and were being prepared to be taken to America. On March 4, around 1:30 pm, one of my friends told me over the phone that two little girls were at a beauty parlor in Versova with some people who were doing their makeup and talking about sending them to America. The girls looked very innocent and unaware of their fate. On receiving the information, I reached the spot and saw that the girls were about to leave the salon with two people who were waiting outside. There was a car parked just outside the salon which belonged to him. Then my suspicion became stronger and I started confronting them. I interrogated the girls who were in a hurry to leave. The girls told me they were from Gujarat and when I asked them about their parents, one of the four asked me what I had to do with them. He told me that the girls were brought to the salon because they were going to attend a wedding ceremony.
he adds,
Before they tried to leave, I stopped them and called the police. When the police reached the spot, I told them about the incident. After this the police took them to Versova police station.
- When asked about her experience auditioning for various opportunities, she said,
Some would say I am too fair for this role, while others would say I am too young/old for it. I had a lot of questions but they were not answered. What’s worse is that I was removed from a film at the last moment and it was said that this was happening because I was more beautiful than the heroine!
