Pratik Doshi is an Indian civil servant serving as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO). Pratik is known as the “eyes and ears of the Prime Minister” due to his close association with Narendra Modi. He came into limelight in June 2023 after marrying Wangmayi Parakala, who is the daughter of India’s Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.

When Narendra Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat, Doshi worked in the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO). In 2014, after Modi became the 14th Prime Minister of India, he was posted to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) in New Delhi. After getting promotion and becoming Joint Secretary in the PMO, Doshi was appointed as OSD (Research and Strategy) on 14 June 2023. Doshi is considered to be one of the brains behind the Indian government’s policy to ban the sale and use of plastic bags in India.
