Beyonce Leaves Out Lizzo’s Name While Performing ‘Break My Soul (The Queens Remix)’ During Renaissance Tour Show Amid Harassment Lawsuit

Beyonce appears to be reacting to the accusations made against Lizzo.

On Tuesday night (August 1), the 41-year-old entertainer took to the stage at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass. during the latest stop on her Renaissance Tour.

While performing “Break My Soul (The Queens Remix),” Beyonce seemingly left out Lizzo‘s, 35, name.

In the original version of the song, the lyrics go, “Rosetta Tharpe, Santigold, (Vogue) Bessie Smith, Nina Simone (Vogue), Betty Davis, Solange Knowles. Badu, Lizzo, Kelly Rowl’ (You know you can do it), Lauryn Hill, Roberta Flack, Toni, Janet, Tierra Whack (Let your body move to the music), Missy, Diana, Grace Jones, Aretha, Anita, Grace Jones (Hey, hey, hey), Helen Folasade Adu, Jilly from Philly, I love you, boo (Come on, vogue).”

While Beyonce performed the song on Tuesday night, fans were quick to notice that she did not sing Lizzo‘s name, but instead replaced the lyrics with “Badu Badu Badu Badu.” You can watch a clip from the show on Twitter here.

Earlier that day, Lizzo was sued by three of her former dancers for sexual harassment and a hostile work environment among other accusations. Several other former members of Lizzo‘s team spoke out in support of the lawsuit.
