Aryan Khan’s involvement in drug case
Previously, Sale worked as a security guard, and in 2021 he was promoted to bodyguard. He came into news for the Aryan Khan drug case (2021), in which he was one of the witnesses for the NCB. The cell claimed that he is the personal bodyguard of NCB private investigator KP Gosavi and one of the witnesses in the Aryan Khan drug case.
Affidavit submitted by Prabhakar Sail
In the affidavit submitted by SAIL on social media in October 2021, he had said that on July 22, Kiran Gosavi had appointed him as her personal bodyguard. He later said in a video message released,
On October 1, 2021, at around 9:45 pm, he (Gosavi) called me and told that he had left. Kiran Gosavi, who called me on 735 on October 2, said he transferred Rs 500 to my Google Pay account. He also told me that he was sending me a location via WhatsApp. At 8:45 pm, I reached CST railway station. I checked the location on WhatsApp and I came to know that it was NCB office. I arrived by taxi, and parked my snow white Innova car JG 3000 in front of the NCB office. Driver Vijay Suryavanshi asked me where KP Gosavi was. Vijay Suryavanshi told me that KP Gosavi was in the NCB office with NCB officials. At 10:00 am, I was at the driver’s side. Kiran Gosavi called me and called the NCB officer down and took me to the NCB office. Kiran Gosavi, the officer and I left the Innova. He instructed me to wait. KP Gosavi called me at 12:00 noon and asked me to wait at the green gate. Kiran everyone sent me some pictures on WhatsApp around 1:23 pm, they asked me to keep an eye on the people seen in the photos and inform them if anyone is coming to board the cruise through the green gate . As a result, I identified one person from the set of photographs and told him that he had boarded bus number 2700 through WhatsApp. They replied that they had identified the person and 13 people had been arrested. At around 10:30 pm, KP Gosavi called me to the boarding area. I saw Munmun Dhamecha, a girl and some other NCB officers.
he adds,
Kiran Gosavi, accompanied by the NCB officer, took Aryan Khan to the NCB office in a white Innova. At 1 o’clock in the night I reached NCB office on foot. KP Gosavi called me at 1 in the night and told me that I have to sign as a referee. Sameer Wankhede instructed me to put my signature. An NCB Salekar asked me to sign on 10 blank papers. Salekar asked me for my Aadhaar details. I did not have my Aadhar card so I asked him if he could send me a soft copy of my Aadhar card from my mobile number 9137*** **99 to whats app number 8167609 712. Then he asked me to eat and gave it. Suryavanshi one packet food.”
The voyage continued,
After some time, KP Gosavi went down and met Sam D’Souza, 500 meters away from the NCB office. Sam Shoes I spoke to KP Gosavi for about 5 minutes. After visiting the NCB offices, Sam D’Souza said that he and KP Gosavi got out of the car and met again. After this KP Gosavi came out in the white Innova and Sam D’Souza went with us in the Innova Crysta. We stopped at Lower Parel Bridge near Big Bazaar. Other people also stayed at the same place. While Sam was calling we reached Lower Parel KP Gosavi. Sam said that you have kept a bomb of Rs 25 crore and let us compromise on 18, because it has to go to Sameer Wakhede.
Speaking to reporters after the release of the affidavit, he said,
I told the truth because I was afraid of life. KP Gosavi has gone missing and I fear he may be murdered or taken hostage. In major cases witnesses are often killed or taken away. I wanted to declare the truth at the end of his affidavit.
On his request the Maharashtra government provided him security. Maharashtra Home Minister Dilip Walse Patil said,
Prabhakar Cell had approached the police demanding security and he has been given security. It is our duty to provide security to everyone. I had a brief discussion with the CM (Uddhav Thackeray) on this issue, but not in detail.
Speaking to reporters, DCP Mumbai Manjunath Singe said,
After receiving their request letter, we have given high level security to the cell. Our team went to both his houses in Andheri but he was not there. Later we found him at some other address. “We cannot share further details about his current location but he is safe under our protection.”
Following Sale’s confession, various news reporters reached out to his family members to get their reactions to the entire incident. Sel’s father-in-law said,
I am more than 70 years old and at this age I am taking care of my daughter and her two children. Prabhakar is not worried about children and wife. After this incident, I tried to contact him but he was not available.
Speaking to reporters his mother said,
A person claiming to be a police officer entered our house. He demanded to know the address and whereabouts of the cell. The man was in civil dress and kept telling us that it would be harmful for us if we did not share information about Prabhakar. I called my neighbors who asked him to show his ID, but the man ran down the stairs. We are worried because of this. We tried contacting Prabhakar but he was unavailable.
Sale’s brother said,
Last year during Covid he had no work. I fought with him many times because the entire responsibility of the family is on me. In July, he told me that Gosavi had hired him as his bodyguard. He told us that he would stay there and come home only during Diwali. My mother has blood pressure problem and she became more ill after a stranger came to our house. We are all under a lot of stress. We don’t know whether Prabhakar is safe or not.”
