Pokémon Legends: Arceus – Best Nature For Hisuian Samurott

Hisuian Samurott is a Water- and Dark-type Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus that can be a top performer when it has the best nature available. The Hisuian variant of Samurott is a Pokémon Legends: Arceus exclusive, and is the final evolved form of the Water-type starter Oshawott. Though it shares a similar appearance to the Unovian Samurott, Hisuian Samurott’s strengths are different and so it requires a different nature to enhance its power.

Despite Oshawott being a starter Pokémon in Legends: Arceus, there are actually a few different ways that players can obtain and evolve it into Hisuian Samurott. Once the main story has been completed, players can find and catch Oshawott in Pokémon Legends: Arceus by heading to the Alabaster Icelands and searching the Space-Time Distortions. Hisuian Samurott is also available from the Space-Time Distortions, though it’s much hard to find one than it is an Oshawott. Additionally, an Oshawott, or even a Hisuian Samurott, can always be received through trading Pokémon online. Lastly, once players beat the main story of Pokémon Legends: Arceus they can receive an Oshawott from Professor Laventon in Jubilife Village.

As with any Pokémon in Legends: Arceus, the starting Hisuian Samurott’s nature can always be changed if players would rather keep the one they have instead of catching a new one. Through the use of Nature Mints in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, players can change the nature of any Pokémon they wish. Nature Mints can only be grown in Jubilife Village once the farming requests have been completed for Miller. Since Pokémon cannot be bred in Legends: Arceus, players will need to rely upon Nature Mints or catching multiple Pokémon in order to get the ideal natures for their entire team, or, at the very least, Hisuian Samurott.

What Nature Is Best For Hisuian Samurott In Pokémon Legends: Arceus

One of the biggest differences between Hisuian Samurott and Unovian Samurott is that Hisuian Samurott’s Attack stat is its strongest feature. Although its Special Attack doesn’t fall far behind the Attack stat, Hisuian Samurott’s best nature in Pokémon Legends: Arceus is Adamant. Like a Landorus in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Hisuian Samurott benefits from having an Adamant nature over Modest not only because its Attack stat is higher than its Special Attack, but also because it has a myriad of physical attack moves at its disposal.

For great type coverage, players should consider teaching Hisuian Samurott Aqua Tail, Ceaseless Edge, Poison Jab, and Psycho Cut. With Poison Jab and Psycho Cut in its moveset, Hisuian Samurott can threaten Pokémon with moves that it is weakest against, namely Grass-, Fairy-, and Fighting-type Pokémon. In addition to these types of Pokémon, a Hisuian Samurott with an Adamant nature and this moveset can easily defeat Fire-, Ground-, Rock-, Psychic-, Ghost-, and Poison-type Pokémon, like Hisuian Sneasel, in Legends: Arceus.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus is available for Nintendo Switch.
