Pokémon GO Trainers participating in the Tier-1 Raids for August 2022 will eventually encounter Timburr, a mischievous-looking bipedal monster with a small body but supernatural strength. Wielding a large wooden beam as a weapon, Timburr is quite a formidable Raid Boss despite being only a 1-Star opponent. Wielding 3,686 CP, this Unovan Pokémon in Pokémon GO can be a handful for low-level Trainers. Nevertheless, those who correctly understand Timburr’s weaknesses will be capable of strategically countering the Raid Boss in battle.
It should be no surprise that the small muscular Pokémon wielding a large wood post is a Fighting-type pocket monster. As a result of this particular elemental attribute, Timburr is resistant to Rocki, Bugi, and Dark-type attacks. On the other hand, being a Fighter causes this Raid Boss to be vulnerable to Flying-, Psychic-, and Fairy-type Moves. Therefore, these three elements will need to be utilized in combat if Raid participants hope to take this Pokémon down.
According to Pokebattler, the top 5 counters for a Timburr Raid in Pokémon GO are Shadow Mewtwo, Shadow Latios, Mega Latios, Shadow Metagross, and Shadow Alakazam. While these rare Shadow variants are more than enough to cause Timburr to “timber,” there is still plenty of unaltered and standard Pokémon that can offer excellent performance in battle.
