Spheal is the featured Pokémon for Community Day January 2021 Pokémon go. Every month, instructors can look forward to a new Community Day. On this day, the spawn rate of each Pokémon will increase significantly. Players will also have a chance to catch its shiny shape. Chances of catching Shiny Pokémon increase during Community Day, and trainers can collect multiple Shiny Pokémon at once. Niantic has officially announced that Speal, an ice/water-type Pokémon from the Hoenen region, will be the first Pokémon of Community Day 2021.

The event will take place on Sunday, January 16, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. Spheal’s Shiny chance will also be reduced to 1/25, meaning that for each new encounter, the Trainer will have a 1/25 chance of making it Shiny. Not only that, but players can also unlock exclusive attacks if they evolve Speal’s evolution, Sealeo, into Walrein. It will learn to attack with Ice Spear or quick attack on Snow Powder.
The Speal Community Day will last six hours, giving coaches plenty of time to do everything they need to do. There are also many smaller event rewards available during this event. It’s worth mentioning that players have a chance to encounter Shiny Orbs that already exist in the game, and it’s one of the few Pokémon that already has a Shiny form. - Catch XP: This Community Day will reward x3 Catch XP. If trainers equip Lucky Eggs, they can earn up to x6 XP. Attending this Community Day is a great way to level up quickly. The bonus will be valid for the duration of the campaign.
- Aim for six bright balls: Six may seem like a concrete number, but there’s a reason for it. The first three will get players shiny versions of Speal, Sealeo, and Walrein to use in their Shiny Dex. For the remaining three, the player should save them. It’s very normal for other players to want to trade shiny Pokémon. As such, it can be a useful negotiating tool.
- The Speal Deal: This is a special research story that players can buy for about $1. It features exclusive quests that will stay on the player’s quest list until they are completed. Add more content of the day for just one dollar.
Incense and bait modules activated during the event will also last three hours, relatively longer than the usual 30 minutes. As 2021 approaches, Pokémon go Preparations are underway for future events. For February, instructors can look forward to the upcoming event Pokémon go City tourism activities. This premium event will give players the chance to catch shiny versions of every Pokémon from the Johto region. While a date and time have been confirmed for the event, February’s Community Day has yet to be announced. News will likely be revealed after Sfell Community Day is over.
