Piyush Pandey is an Indian advertising professional and author. He is the worldwide chief creative officer and executive chairman of Ogilvy (agency) India. In 2016, he was honored with the Padmashree Award. He is considered the ‘Administrator of India’.

Piyush Pandey was born on Saturday, 9 April 1955 (age 68 years; as in 2023) in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. His zodiac sign is Aries. He studied at St. Xavier’s School, Jaipur. In 1982, he joined Ogilvy, a British advertising and marketing agency, as a client-service executive in India. His career in advertising began with the Sunlight detergent print advertisement as it was the first advertisement he wrote. He wrote the patriotic song ‘Mile Sur Mera Tumhara’ for the National Unity Campaign of 1988. In 1989, he joined the creative department, where he designed several popular advertising campaigns in India, including the Pulse Polio advertising campaign with the slogan ‘Do Boond Zindagi Ke’ with Amitabh Bachchan, the Fevicol advertising campaign, the ‘Todo Nahi’ slogans Faviquik ads included. In 1992, he was promoted to creative director and later national creative director. In 1994 he became its board member. Under his leadership, Ogilvy India topped The Economic Times and Brand Equity’s Reckoner, an independent marketing and advertising survey agency, for 12 consecutive years. In 2004, he was appointed as Executive Chairman of India and South Asia for Ogilvy. In his 40-year career at Ogilvy & Mather, the agency grew to become India’s largest advertising agency. In September 2006, Piyush Pandey was nominated to the Ogilvy Worldwide Board. He also mentors creative executives from around the world at the Berlin School of Creative Leadership. For the 2014 BJP election campaign, he and his team came up with the popular slogans ‘Abki Baar Modi Sarkar’ and ‘Acche din aane wale hai’.
In 2019, he was appointed as Ogilvy’s Worldwide Chief Creative Officer. In September 2023, he was announced to take up a senior advisory and leadership role at Ogilvy India from 1 January 2024.
