Mackie is also a playwright and works primarily in the style of satire. He addresses current social and environmental problems, with an absurd and comic touch. Additionally, his work has been performed on stages and festivals throughout North America.
Additionally, six of his one-act plays have been produced and performed as part of Speakeasy Theatre’s Pull Festival. One of his last comedies, Hurricane Mona, received Touchstone Theatre’s David King Award. She was even invited to attend the 50th Banff Playwrights Lab, with Hurricane Mona.
Pippa always works collaboratively, having co-created, produced and performed three works that have toured festivals across Canada. She co-wrote, acted in and produced “The Progressive Polygamists.”
