Payal Kapoor Nair is an Indian TV and film actress. She is best known for playing the lead role in the soap opera Meher (2004–2006) on DD National. She is also known for starring in the TV series Do Saheliyan… Kismat Ki Kathputliyan (2010), Saat Phere: Saloni Ka Safar (2005), and Chand Chupa Badal Mein (2010).

He did his schooling from The Frank Anthony Public School, New Delhi. It was Payal’s cinema-loving mother who recognized her inclination towards drama and theatre. She grew up participating in school plays. He studied Bachelor of Arts in European History from Jesus and Mary College, New Delhi. During her college days, she was the president of the Dramatics Society. Later, he did a part-time course in mass communication at the YMCA in New Delhi. There, his journey as a professional theater artist began by attending theater workshops after part-time classes. After completing his mass communication course, he worked as a copywriter in an advertising agency for some time. In late 1999, she moved to Mumbai to become an actress. In 2014, he studied drama and theater at the Dell’Arte International School of Physical Theatre. He has received training in theater from stalwarts like Amal Allana and Ranjit Kapoor.
