Maria, Grant’s partner, also expressed grief saying that Paul was the joy of her life and the best guy she had ever met. She continued to say:
“He completed my existence. Life would never be the same without him.”

Paul Grant is best known for his role as Ewok in Star Wars Part VI: Return of the Jedi, which was released in 1983. He later played the demon in the first Harry Potter painting, Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’s Stone, released in 2001. Grant starred in several other films, including Labyrinth and The Dead, and was a double action stunt double in the 1985 Ridley Scott film Legend. He also performed stunts in another movie, Willow. Grant has been open about his addiction to alcohol, drugs and women since his divorce from Janet Crowson.

Paul Grant told the Sunday Mirror in 2014 that he had a family but lost everything after his marriage and divorce. After the breakup, he lived on the street, selling his car to buy alcohol and drugs. A woman named Chloe McCarthy and her partner finally received it. According to Chloe, Paul consumed all the drugs available to him. His drug problem also affected his playing career as he was not employed in other divisions at the time.
