“When he was alive, he hated anyone acknowledging his birthday, wishing him a happy birthday, celebrating him, any of that,” Paris said. Actually, she didn’t even want us to know when his birthday was because he didn’t want us to have a party.” She added that “social media is apparently the way people express their love and affection these days.”
“If you don’t wish someone a happy birthday on social media, apparently it means you don’t love them, you don’t care about them,” he continued. “There have been times where I don’t post anything for my dad’s birthday and people lose their minds.”
“They tell me to kill myself. And they are basically measuring my love for my own father based on what I post on Instagram,” she said.
She then inserted footage of her performing on her birthday.
“He put 50 years of blood, sweat, tears, love and passion into doing what he did, so that I could stand here on stage in front of you and scream into a microphone, so I owe it all to him,” he said in scenery.
She captioned the video with, “Please don’t use a man you’ve never met as an excuse to abuse, manipulate and harass his daughter (who you’ve never met either).”
