Nikolai Patrushev is a politician, security officer, and also an intelligence officer of Russia. Patrushev has been working at the post of secretary of the Russian Security Council since 2008. The politician’s date of birth is July 11, 1951 while his birthplace is Leningrad, Soviet Union, which is now called Saint Petersburg, Russia. In 1994 he was brought to Moscow as the leader of the FSK Internal Security Directorate. He then took over as deputy head of the FSB Organization and Inspection Department in June 1995. From May to August 1998, he served as head of the Presidential General Staff Control Directorate. From August to October he served as Deputy Chief of the Presidential General Staff.
In addition, Nikolai was elected deputy head of the FSB and head of the Economic Security Directorate in October 1998. In April 1999, the politician was appointed the first deputy head of the FSB.
