Hiroo Johar was born in a Punjabi family. His father was an accountant in the PWD Division of the British Punjab Administration. He is one of eight siblings; The most famous of which include Indian filmmakers BR Chopra and Yash Raj Chopra.
She was married to Indian film producer Yash Johar.
Hiroo is the mother of Karan Johar.
Ravi Chopra and Aditya Chopra are Heeru’s nephews. Rani Mukherjee is married to Aditya Chopra and is the daughter-in-law of Heeru.
