Nicole Curtis, host of Rehab Addict Lake House Rescue, is coming to Michigan for the first season to work on a huge and historic project. Curtis purchased the riverfront property to save it from destruction. However, she was unable to do the renovation until recently. In the three-part series, the host takes viewers on an extensive restoration journey as she transforms the property she acquired more than eight years ago.
According to a statement from HGTV:
“Nicole begins the first episode by summarizing the process of starting the renovation, as she unpacks the house, cleans it, and creates a new first floor. They will begin the renovation by treating the exterior with fresh paint, landscaping, windows and porches.”
Nicole will also build a kid-friendly bedroom using a salvaged wooden boat to make a bunk bed, according to a press release. They will also build a unique staircase and master suites on the top floor with breathtaking views. Rehab Addict Lake House Rescue premieres on HGTV on Thursday, November 3 at 9:00 p.m. ET.

Nicole Curtis returns to Michigan to restore the historic lake house she first saw eight years ago. As a licensed realtor and self-taught home designer, he’s an advocate for preserving historic homes and revitalizing old neighborhoods. Nicole is best known for her role in Rehab Addict, but she was renovating real estate long before she got into television. Before joining the show, she worked full-time as a mom and real estate agent, repairing and designing real estate.
Host Rehab Addict Lake House Rescue has helped raise awareness of historic buildings and save others from destruction through her episodes. Nicole is said to have stepped back from the reconstruction process for a while. However, as stated on her website, she took some time off to mourn the death of Tessa, the daughter of one of the masons on her team.
Nicole loves Tessa and wants to help the family by starting an online fundraiser for her treatment. Tessa battled cancer, stage 4 neuroblastoma, like a fighter and passed away in 2017. The Rehab Addict Lake House Rescue star took to social media to discuss the event. , write:
“I stayed calm and walked until I was out of sight before running to the truck. I sobbed uncontrollably. That moment still hits me like a ton of bricks.”
Since then, the HGTV star has returned to rehab and is set to return to the big screen with her next show, Rehab Addict Lake House Rescue. In an episode of the show, she said she plans to build a lake house that is “light and airy”. Although she thought it was a simple task, she quickly discovered how difficult and expensive it was. She continued:
“It will become one of my most important works as I now have the space to share great memories with my family and friends.”
The house has been renovated over the past eight years. Nicole bought a house and started renovating it, but life continued to get in her way. However, she will reach the finish line with the support of her teammates.
