The stars of the new musical New York, New York they sealed their performance with a kiss on the Tony Awards 2023!
Anna Uzele and Colton Ryan shared a passionate kiss at the end of their performance on Sunday night (June 11) at the United Palace Theater in Washington Heights in New York City.
It was all for show though, as they both have real-life partners!
Colton is nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical for his work on the show, which is also nominated for Best Musical.
Here’s the synopsis for the show: “It’s 1946, the war is over, and a resurgent New York is beginning to rebuild. As steel beams sway overhead, a collection of artists have dreams as big and diverse as the city itself. Among them is New York native Jimmy Doyle, a brilliant but disillusioned musician searching for his “main chord” in life: music, money, love. The odds are against him getting all three until he meets Francine Evans, a young singer fresh off the bus from Philadelphia who is destined for greatness. If they can do it there, they can do it anywhere.”
