The hit open-world RPG from developer and publisher HoYoverse, has players taking on the role of the Traveler as they journey across the land of Teyvat. The game also features a wide cast of playable characters which can be unlocked by rolling for them in the game’s gacha system.Genshin Impact has been an incredible success for HoYoverse ever since its launch in September 2020, owing to its expansive open world, unique element-based combat system, and – perhaps most importantly – wide cast of playable characters. This was quickly followed by another Genshin Impact tweet revealing Nahida, a second new character. Both announcements are accompanied by the characters’ respective elements, titles, and artwork. Nahida, a child-like Dendro character, is an Archon, similar to characters like Venti and Zhongli, while Layla is a new Cryo character from Sumeru. Apart from the information included in their announcements, not much else is known about the two new characters, including when they will be officially released, although with the preview for Genshin Impact‘s 3.1 update focusing on other characters, Nahida and Layla may be slated for release at a later time.

Nahida, especially, will be a welcome character for many players, as one sporting the recently introduced Dendro element, as well as a new Archon.
