Neetu Pandey was born on Wednesday, 28 November 1979 (age 44 years; as in 2023) in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. Their zodiac sign is Sagittarius. He became interested in acting at a very young age. Growing up, she dreamed of becoming an actress. She got married at the age of 17, when she was in 11th grade, but lived with her parents. Her family followed the tradition of “Gohna”, where the bride returns to her parents’ home after the wedding and stays there for a mutually decided period of time. She completed 12th class before moving to her in-laws’ house.
She was married into a large family of 7-8 members and became busy taking care of her household. Soon, she had a daughter. While raising her daughter, she completed her graduation with a correspondence course from Kanpur University (now CSJM University). In 2008 she moved to Mumbai. At that time his daughter was very young. So, she used to balance between her work in Mumbai and spending time with her daughter in Lucknow.

He started his career in the entertainment industry in 2002. Before this, she was a teacher. When her daughter joined school at the age of three, she started working as a teacher. Every day, while going home from school, she would visit Bharatendu Natya Academy (BNA), a drama school in Lucknow. One day, she went to BNA and enrolled in a summer workshop to learn acting and drama. His classes used to be from 3 pm to 6 pm. Neetu’s conservative in-laws were unaware of her dream of pursuing a career in acting. In an interview, he had said that it was his elder sister-in-law Poonam who supported him at every turn. Poonam and Neetu lied to their in-laws that they were going to an evening computer class, when in reality, Poonam had joined Neetu in going to BNA. However, Poonam and Neetu could keep this lie forward only for a month. After that, her in-laws came to know that Neetu was attending an acting workshop and forbade her from it. Neetu convinced her to let her attend the workshop as she had already attended half of the workshop. Her first play was Habib Tanveer’s Charandas Chor in which she played the role of Rani. Initially, she was cast as “Dasi” (the queen’s maid), but the woman who was to play the queen left on a trip, giving Neetu the chance to play the lead role. After that, she continued to work as a theater artist and acted in several theatrical productions in Lucknow and then Mumbai, such as Sandhya Chhaya (2014) by Punit Asthana and Better Than Death (2016), written and directed by Jetendra Mittal.

While working as a theater artiste, she started working in Doordarshan, where she was a B-grade artiste. She used to host 3-4 shows like Krishi Darshan for Doordarshan. He also hosted ETV’s show Salaam UP. On 24 December 2008, she moved to Mumbai, the center of the Indian entertainment industry, with her friend for better opportunities. On 27 December 2008, he did his first shoot in Mumbai. He got the opportunity through a coordinator named Saurabh Sharma. He started his journey as a TV actor by playing the role of a doctor in a show. During an interview, he mentioned that he received a check of Rs 4000 after the shooting and he immediately used a part of it to buy a small temple for Rs 350. Earlier, he had auditioned in Vishal Kapoor’s office, but to no avail. After this, he played several small roles in many TV shows. At that time she used to earn Rs 1500-2000 per day.
