Jones rose to fame as a model in Paris in the 1970s, a time when racism hampered many black models. She devoted herself to music and eventually became one of the pop icons of the 1980s.
Jones’s androgynous fashion sense added to her appeal and inadvertently made her a queer icon. Defying social norms, Grace waited on one partner for another, often ending relationships in bizarre but comical ways.

Jones gave her fans hope that she could release new music by posting photos of her in the studio. “THE FAIR OF DARKNESS!” Grace captioned one of the photos.
It’s been almost two years since Jones promised us ‘something wicked’, but we’re hopeful he delivers something new.
Grace also took a break from acting, but was due to appear in the latest Bond film. She left the project after finding out that she had a small role.
