Additionally, he was arraigned and released on $7,500 bail. He was later charged with second degree strangulation, two counts of acting in a manner injurious to a child, second degree stalking and two counts of assault.

Ironically, Direnzo had previously volunteered for a city nonprofit that helps children and young adults who have experienced trauma. He was a volunteer board member of the Lineage Project. This organization aims and helps teach children how to cope with traumatic experiences. But he was never an employee of the Lineage Project.
He was not even paid for his work as a volunteer board member. According to the co-executive director of the organization whose name is Gabrielle Prisco, Nathaniel is no longer on the board of directors. Previously, he was also able to work for Congress and Politico and listed his interests as running and being “an unrepentant enthusiast.”
