Naorem Roshibina Devi is an Indian Wushu player who plays in the Sanda division (a type of martial art). She won a silver medal in the women’s 60 kg wushu category at the 2022 Asian Games.

Facts/General Knowledge
- When Roshibina was seven years old, she made a punching bag from torn clothes to practice her wushu moves. Impressed by his dedication, Malemanganbi Devi, a local wushu champion, began teaching the sport to Roshibina. After some time, M Ronel Singh, a coach from the nearby village Nachau, started teaching him. Roshibina began her formal Wushu training from M. Premkumar at the SAI Training Center in Imphal.
- Naorem Roshibina Devi started crying during an interview with a news channel as she was upset with the unpleasant and violent situation created due to continuous caste violence in Manipur. His hometown Bishnupur is one of the worst-affected cities, making his victory at the 2022 Asian Games a happy and sad event. In the interview he was quoted as saying,
Anything can happen. I am worried about my parents and siblings.”
- Before starting his Wushu journey, Roshibina tried his hand at boxing; However, in his early teens he participated in a district-level Wushu competition and it was there that he fell in love with the sport.
