Patrick Mahomes recently revealed that Taylor Swift may be working on a music video.
In his interview as one of Times 100 Most Influential People asked the Chiefs quarterback about Taylor Swift. Patrick met Taylor when she began dating her teammate and friend, Travis Kelce. Now, Patrick’s wife, Brittany Mahomes, is also close friends with Taylor.
“I’ve met a lot of famous people in my life…Taylor is probably the most down-to-earth person that’s been on that stage for so long,” Patrick said.
She added that she always has a business mindset, even when it comes to learning about soccer.
“She never stops working… You can tell by the way she talks. Even when she talks about soccer, when she’s learning it, you can see the business mind of her putting it into action. It’s almost like she’s trying to become a coach,” she said. “‘Why can’t you try this, this and this?’ “She’s asking the right questions.”
Mahomes also credited Taylor with turning the Chiefs “from a national team that was somewhat global to a world team that was completely global,” which he viewed as a positive.
“That came from Taylor’s fan base,” he said.
Many people fed the narrative that the Chiefs were distracted by global attention, but Mahomes put that theory to rest. (And considering they won the Super Bowl, I think it’s safe to say the Chiefs are doing just fine.)
“We just accepted it,” he said of the global attention they attracted. “We like to have that visibility. After all, football has always been a painful sport. We want it to be fun, where kids grow up and play soccer and show their personality and be who they are. “This year really magnified that.”
It’s clear that Taylor, in the midst of her hard work on her new album, has also had some fun this year, in large part thanks to the Chief’s tight end.

With Taylor Swift’s new album, The apartment of the tortured poet, which will be released this Friday, many fans suspect that Taylor might grace us with a music video. And Patrick only fuels these beliefs even more.
“Even when he takes his time off, he’s working on something,” he said in his interview. “Record a music video, sing a song or write a song.”
This is great news for Swifties, who are eagerly awaiting Taylor’s new work.
Their new album will be out this Friday, April 19.
