Nadira Mehreen is an Indian actor, model, news anchor and TV personality, who works in the Malayalam entertainment industry. She was the first transgender person in Kerala to take admission in an academic course using the government’s transgender quota, which she used to pursue her first postgraduate degree. In 2021, she made headlines by becoming the first transwoman to enroll in a second post-graduation course under the transgender quota of the Kerala government. In 2023, she appeared as a contestant in the reality show Bigg Boss (Malayalam Season 5) on the Asianet channel.

Nadira Mehreen was born on Friday, 17 September 1999 (age 22 years; as of 2022) in Manacaud, Thiruvananthapuram. Her zodiac sign is Virgo. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from AJ College of Science and Technology, Kerala, a master’s degree in Political Science from University College, Thiruvananthapuram, and a master’s degree in Theater from Sri Shankaracharya Sanskrit University, Kerala.

When she was growing up she knew that there was something about her body that was different from others, but she could not tell her family about it because she was too young at that time. In an interview, she shared an incident that happened to her in 8th class when she was sexually harassed by her classmates, after which she was afraid to go to school for several days. When she reported this incident to her teachers, they took no action and even said that it happened because she behaved like a girl. After this, she stopped going to school till 10th class and used to study at home. When she turned sixteen, she realized that her identity was different from the identity (boy) that she was given at birth.

The hostel warden told him that if he had any problem then he should leave the hostel and stay somewhere else.
