This past Sunday, TMZ reported that Evan Ellingson, 35, was found dead in his bedroom, the coroner’s office confirmed.
After an investigation was conducted at the actor’s home in San Bernardino, the exact cause of death has not been determined and authorities do not believe foul play was involved.

Michael Ellingson, the actor’s father, also said TMZ than the publication that his son had struggled with drug abuse in the past. He seemed “better lately,” as he put it, but the sudden death of his son was a shock to his family and close friends.

In 2008, IMDB reported that Evan’s brother, Austin Ellingson, also died from a drug overdose. That was also the same year Evan welcomed his daughter, Brooklynn Ellingson.
In 2007, Evan was thrust into stardom after being cast in the sixth season of 24 as Josh Bauer, a nephew of Jack Bauer who was being played by Canadian actor Kiefer Sutherland.
During that same year, Evan appeared in the sixth season of CSI Miami as Kyle Harmon, the son of Horatio Cane played by David Caruso.

In an interview with The starEvan shared what it was like working with Caruso, describing his co-star as “a down-to-earth kind of guy.”
“Without him there isn’t much of anything,” he continued. “He understands that everyone thinks his character is a little ‘too cool,’ but that’s the intriguing part of the show, that things fly over everyone’s heads. He is simply immersed in the role of him.”
Then in 2009, Evan co-starred with Cameron Diaz in a family drama, My sister’s keeper. Based on an emotional novel by Jodi Picoult, Evan played Jesse Fitzgerald. Abigail Breslin and Alec Baldwin also had roles in the film.
The actor seemed to have a passion for acting that began as a child. In an interview with Filstar GlobalHe General Hospital student spoke about how he began entering show business when he was just 10 years old.
“I never had the same childhood experience with my friends,” he shared.
“I never had more time with them. However, my childhood was great. I was busy doing the things I love. “I have no regrets because I found my passion for acting from the beginning.”
This news comes shortly after the death of General Hospital Actor Tyler Christopher, who was also found deceased in his home. He was then 50 years old.

In a heartfelt post by Maurice Benard, Christopher’s former co-star on the medical drama took to Instagram to express his grief.
“Tyler passed away this morning after a cardiac event in his San Diego apartment,” the post began.
“Tyler was a truly talented individual who lit up the screen in every scene he performed and enjoyed bringing joy to his loyal fans through his performance. Tyler was a sweet soul and a wonderful friend to all who knew him,” Benard said.
Unfortunately, Benard also shared that Christopher had also been struggling with drug abuse. He was “an advocate for better mental health and substance use treatment who spoke openly about his struggles with bipolar depression and alcohol.”
