Melissa McBride confirmed to reunite with Norman Reedus in the second season of ‘The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon’

Melissa McBride returns to The Walking Dead universe!

The actress will reprise her role as Carol Peletier in the upcoming second season of Norman Reedus’ Daryl Dixon spin-off, which we will now refer to as The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon- Carol’s Book.

THR reports that Melissa will be a series regular in the second season.

He was originally supposed to be in the first season, but dropped out in April 2022 after production on the show moved to Europe.

“I knew there was a lot more to tell about Carol’s story, as she felt very uneasy the last time we saw her, as she watched her best friend, Daryl, walk away,” he shared in a statement. “Separate or (hopefully!) together, her stories run deep and I’m so excited to continue Carol’s journey this far. This team of storytellers has done an incredible job of taking these two established characters into a whole new world for them, and I love the discoveries!

Also returning for the second season are Clémence Poésy, Louis Puech Scigliuzzi, Laika Blanc Francard, Anne Charrier, Romain Levi and Eriq Ebouaney.

The upcoming new season, due out in 2024, is currently in production in France, thanks to a provisional SAG-AFTRA agreement.

Melissa’s first episode will actually be the season one finale, airing THIS coming Sunday, October 15 on AMC!
