Dharampreet Singh, known professionally as Mukh Mantri or Dhamak Bass Wala Mukh Mantri, was born in 2004 (age 15 years; as in 2019) in Tarn Taran district, Punjab, India. He has been a religious person since his early childhood. He has always been fond of singing, and one day, his friends made a video of him singing. They took no time to upload the video on the internet, which later went viral. When Punjabi singer, Sukh Sandhu, watched his video, he got so much impressed with it that he gave Mukh Mantri an opportunity to feature in his song “Dhamak (The Bass).” There has been no looking back since then for him.

Family
Mukh Mantri was born into a modest Sikh family of Tarn Taran. Not much information is known about his family apart from the fact that he lives in Tarn Taran with his parents and sister.
His family’s financial condition was so bad that his sister had to leave her studies midway. However, his family’s financial condition improved after the back-to-back hits like “Dhamak (The Bass)” and “Devil.”
Controversies
- Though he has become a household name in Punjab with his music, he has also stirred issues with his viral videos. It all started when he made a parody of Yo Yo Honey Singh’s “Lungi Dance” song, which was objected by a local gurudwara’s preacher.
- He featured in Sukh Sandhu’s hit song “Dhamak The Bass” which also stirred controversy due to its abusive content. Mukh Mantri even had to apologise in front of the Sikh community for the abusive content. However, Mukh Mantri also got support from various Punjabi celebrities.
