Muhammad Anees Yahiya was born on Sunday, 3 December 1995 (age 26 years; as in 2022) in Neelamel, Kerala, India. Their zodiac sign is Sagittarius. He studied at AKM Higher Secondary School, Mylapore, Kerala. Anees competed in the long jump event at the 2017 World University Games.

He placed first in the 300 meters at the Rítor Atletíki Mitinké competition in Ústí nad Orlíčí, Czech Republic on 17 August 2019.

On 11 July 2016, he finished sixth in the triple jump at the Indian Grand Prix 4 held in Bengaluru. The first international competition in which he participated in long jump was the Universiade competition held in Taipei City, Taiwan in August 2017. On 25 February 2021, he participated in the Indian Grand Prix 2, Patiala and finished third in the competition. On 28 June 2021, he participated in the National Inter State Senior Athletics Championship, Patiala and secured first position in long jump. In March 2022, he achieved second place in the Indian Open Jump Competition, Thiruvananthapuram. On 24 May 2022, he finished first in the Indian Grand Prix 4 held in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. He participated in the National Inter State Senior Athletics Championships held in Chennai on 10 and 11 June 2022 and finished second in both the events. He took first place at the XXXII Kosanov Memorial held in Almaty on 25 June 2022. In 2022, at the Birmingham Commonwealth Games, he was selected for the final of the men’s long jump event from Group B.

On 24 May 2022, at the closing ceremony of the Indian Grand Prix 4 in Odisha, Anees was given the Best Male Athlete award by Shri VK Pandian, Secretary to the Chief Minister (5T).

The authorities were not satisfied with my whereabouts during those eight days and so they did not grant me a visa. I really can’t tell how they (Sreeshankar and Anees) got visas. I can only assume that this is because they both have the support of sponsors. At present there is no private organization supporting me.
