Monster Hunter Rise: How To Get (& Use) The Inferno Sac

The Inferno Sac is a Rarity-6 resource in Monster Hunter Rise used for crafting and upgrading a variety of weaponry, such as the Felyne Bowgun I or Red Bludgeon I Hammer. This resource is also required for forging armor pieces from the Bazelgeuse Set, Rathian S Set, and three others. Furthermore, Hunters must procure Inferno Sacs if they wish to craft specific Decorations in Monster Hunter Rise, such as the Antiblast Jewel 1, Blaze Jewel 1, and Bomber Jewel 1.

As implied by the names of the armor set mentioned above, the Inferno Sac is acquired from several monsters as a High-Rank reward. These targets include Aknosom, Rathian, Rathalos, Basarios, Anjanath, and Apex Rathian. Of course, the sac is not a guaranteed drop but rather a random reward based on RNG. The monster with the highest chance of giving Hunters the Inferno Sac is Aknosom, with a Target Reward of 24%.

While completing an Aknosom Hunt in Monster Hunter Rise will provide participants with a 24% chance of receiving Inferno Sac, players can slightly raise their chances by Carving the beast instead of Capturing it. For the Capture Reward, players have an 18% chance of getting the resource in Monster Hunter Rise, but Carving grants 19%.

Farming Inferno Sacs In Monster Hunter Rise

Since the main goal is to take down Aknosom as quickly as possible, players should not have to worry about breaking parts. An optimal way to deal the most damage is by examining the beast’s weaknesses and characteristics. First, Aknosom is a Bird Wyvern highly susceptible to Water, Blast, and Fireblight. Moreover, it takes more damage from Thunder attacks. Finally, this monster has an organ that allows it to spew flammable venom at its targets. Thus, luring Aknosom into a lake or swamp will make the battle easier.

The crest and wings of the Aknosom are regarded as the monster’s weak points and will therefore take more damage from Hunters’ attacks. If players are inflicted with Fireblight from the bird’s venom, eat a Nulberry or roll on the ground several times to dispel the flames. Once slain or captured, players have a solid chance of receiving one or more Inferno Sacs at the end of the fight. Players looking for more of a challenge when farming Inferno Sacs can consider capturing Rathians or breaking Basarios’ heads. This method will grant Hunters a 20% chance of receiving the sacs as a Capture Reward or Broken Part Reward.

Monster Hunter Rise is available on PC and Nintendo Switch.
