He started playing Kabaddi at an early age under the guidance of his coach Bhupendra Singh. In 2021, Mohit Nandal made his Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) debut in the eighth season playing for Haryana Steelers. During the season, he appeared in 22 matches and had an impressive performance, scoring 42 points. His tackle strike rate was an impressive 49%.

He was retained by Haryana Steelers for PKL Season 9 in 2022 for Rs 8.80 lakh. In this season, Mohit appeared in 21 matches, and contributed 45 points to his team. He showed his skills with a tackle strike rate of 50% and a raid strike rate of 50%.

For PKL Season 10, he was retained by Haryana Steelers in 2023. Mohit Nandal and Jaideep Dahiya were selected as the captains of Haryana Steelers.
