‘Mighty Ducks’ Actor Shaun Weiss Leads ‘Quack’ Chant at Concert in California

Once a duck, always a duck! Mighty Ducks Star Shaun Weiss reportedly led the famous “quack” chant during a recent concert in California.

According to TMZ, Weiss, who played Goldberg the doorman in all three could ducks movies, was at the House of Blues in Anaheim to see Niko Moon. While on stage, Moon wanted to highlight Weiss’ recovery from addiction and referred to him as a “hometown hero” for the NHL team, the Anaheim Ducks.

The country singer and his band wore Goldberg Mighty Ducks t-shirts while performing their show. To get the crowd excited, Shaun Weiss decided to start the “quack” chant.

Weiss previously spoke about her struggle with addiction and her recovery. He told NewsNation in September 2023 that recovery has given him a second chance at life. “I’m totally aware of it,” she said of his second life. “And I tried to never take that for granted.”

He continued joking, “I’ll let you know when they take your mugshot, they’re not using any Instagram filters at the station.”

Also during his interview on NewsNation, Shaun Weiss talked about how his addiction began when he had a mental health crisis after his father’s death. The actor was also going through a bad breakup at the same time.

“Things got too heavy for me,” Weiss said. “And I really lost my mind.”

Shaun Weiss later said that his fans’ support helped him. “Being able to see the trauma, I went through the lens of trying to be creative, and doing comedy has been a game changer,” he continued. “And people find my story inspiring, so I just tell it and try to do it, but in a fun way. It is gratifying for me.”

Weiss went on to advise against giving up on family members struggling with addiction. “As drug addicts, we tend to burn our bridges and burn the people who are close to us in our lives. But really, as a result of not having family and things like that to help me back off, that’s how I got loose and ended up on the street.”
