With beetle juice 2 Michael Keaton, hitting theaters later this year, talks about what it was like working with his young co-star, Jenna Ortega.
While chatting with Entertainment tonight Cassie DiLaura at the premiere of Knox leaves Keaton had nothing but praise for Ortega. “Oh man, she’s good, she just she’s got it, you know? “She has the tone,” declared the actor.
“She showed up and immediately knew what the tone was and walked in like she does every day. “She is really special.”
Also speaking about the sequel to his 1988 horror comedy, Keaton said it took a while to get production underway. “I really didn’t think we were going to do it and I didn’t want to do it,” he admitted. “Repeatedly [in the] last few years, but it was more fun than the other one.”
However, Michael Keaton later said that Tim Burton really pulled through and returned to his “comfort” zone. “I could tell he was having fun,” Keaton shared of the filmmaker. “Which is really contagious when you’re around it.”
Its premiere is scheduled for September 6. beetle juice is about a ghost who is recruited to help haunt a house. Along with Michael Keaton and Jenna Ortega, others appearing in the film include Willem Dafoe, Catherine O’Hara and Winona Ryder.

Earlier this year, Jenna Ortega talked about working alongside Winona Ryder and Michael Keaton in Beetle juice 2.
She said Entertainment tonight that the production was some of the “most fun” he has ever had on a set. “Visually, very exciting. Everything was practical. I think we’re not using much CGI or anything like that at all.”
Speaking of her co-stars, Ortega shared, “They all did an incredible job. “I felt so lucky to be there, it was crazy… I can’t wait for people to see it.”
The young actress recently praised Ryder. “Winona is just the loveliest and sweetest, I think she’s one of my favorite people,” she said. MY! News. “I love her so much and I was so grateful to get to know her and work with her; she is just an angel on this planet.”
Ortega notably plays the role of Ryder’s daughter, Astrid, in Beetle juice 2. She said vanity fair, “I don’t know how much I can say, but I’m Lydia Deetz’s daughter, so I’ll reveal it. “She’s weird, but in a different way and not the way one would assume, I would say.”
