MAYCE Releases New Song ‘The Man That I Met’ to Launch Rebrand – Listen Now!

“MAYCE is an artist on the rise and she just released her new single.”The man I knew.”

The 25-year-old singer was previously known as Macy Kate and this is the first new song to be released as part of her rebrand after leaving her long-time management and record label. MAYCE is now releasing music on her own!

“I wrote ‘The Man I Met’ based on a relationship that ended in a lot of pain, but I didn’t let that feeling stop me from remembering all the good things about that person,” MAYCE said in a statement. “When something ends up hurt, it usually leaves a bad taste in our mouths, making us forget that those moments highlighted the worst versions of ourselves. This song brings out maturity, especially once a relationship comes to an end. Remembering someone for the light of them in this world instead of the darkness shows growth, and I have never been prouder to release a song.”

Enter now to listen to the song…

MAYCE sings in the chorus: “Holding my hand in the back of the basement / I was too scared to turn on the light / Driving your car while I sit in awe of all the damn records we’d find / Now I just run / As fast as I can / From The only thing I thought was a man / But I won’t forget / The man I knew / Again.”

Head to MAYCE’s YouTube channel starting at 12pm PST on October 25 to watch the official music video.
