Mauricio Umansky and Emma Slater are setting the record straight about their relationship!
The real estate mogul and the professional dancer have teamed up and worked together on the current season of dancing with the stars.
After dancing together for six weeks, they were spotted dining in Beverly Hills, California, and were photographed holding hands as they left the restaurant, sparking rumors and speculation that they are dating.
Now, Mauricio and Emma speak out about the state of their relationship and address those photos.

“For clarity, we are not dating. “We are very good friends,” says Mauricio in an Instagram story. “We’ve been dancing together for six weeks, four hours a day, every day.”
“Guys, it’s intense. You really form a very, very special bond. I think we have similar personalities, so we have a very supportive relationship, and last week was extremely emotional, a very supportive relationship. We are definitely there for each other and it’s beautiful. “That’s a fantastic thing,” adds Emma.
As for them holding hands?
“Just to clarify, we went to a restaurant to get sushi right after rehearsal, we were in our rehearsal clothes. Many of the stories are wrong,” Mauricio shared. “Yes, we had a very intense week. We had an emotional week. “We were talking about the week at dinner, and when we left dinner, we were recapping and I reached out to take Emma’s hand and she took my hand.”
“Then we walked to the cars, just recapping, summarizing, and then the paparazzi caught that moment and it became an awesome moment,” he added.
