Artist Mark Ronson collaborated with Grammy Award winner Bruno Mars to create the hit song “Uptown Funk,” which was released in 2014. The song has become wildly popular. But Ronson recently learned that brides have banned the song from their weddings. It’s an achievement he’s proud to show off.
“I read the other day that some brides have banned it from their wedding playlist because people are maybe sick of hearing it,” Ronson said of the number.
“I thought it was the coolest thing I’d ever heard in my life.”

Uptown Funk spent several weeks at number one on the music charts and has sold more than 10 million units. Reflecting on the album, Ronson said it was “a true labor of love.”
“’Uptown Funk’ was a true labor of love. It was something we were very proud of and we worked very hard on it for seven months. We were working on it at a time when Bruno was touring his Unorthodox Jukebox album and I was chasing him around the country with a five-string bass trying out. to finish this song,” he said.
“When it started being number one for a week, two, three weeks, I remember calling Bruno because he had had a couple of number ones before. I was like, ‘Is this how it is? This is incredible.’ He said, ‘Man, enjoy every moment.’ And then to go from that to playing it at the Super Bowl with Coldplay, I mean, that song is crazy.”

“I have collaborated with everyone.
