Early life and childhood
Mark Levin was born on September 21, 1957 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. His full name is Mark Reed Levin, one of three children, and he was born into a Jewish family. He grew up in Erdenheim and Elkins Park. Additionally, his father, Jack E. Levin (1925-2018), was the author of several books. He is 65 years.

Mark graduated from Cheltenham High School after three years in 1974. Levin began his radio hosting career in 2002 in a Sunday afternoon slot on WABC. WABC assigned Levin to replace him effective June 16, 2003, after the station canceled The Savage Nation from 7 to 9 p.m. weekday period. On September 2, 2003, his show moved to the 6 to 7 pm time slot on WABC. Levin’s WABC show was expanded to 2 hours effective May 17, 2004. On January 30, 2006, ABC Radio Networks began syndicating the show. Initially, ABC expanded the program to three other stations, including WMAL in the local Levin metropolitan area of Washington.
On February 2, 2009, the program was expanded to 3 hours (6-9 pm Eastern Time). ABC’s radio assets then changed hands to Citadel Broadcasting in 2007, then to Cumulus Media in 2011; In 2013, Cumulus combined all of its radio assets under the Westwood One banner.
