Mindy Kaling and Greg Berlanti’s overall first-look deals with Warner Bros. Studios have been put on hold, according to a new report from Variety.
The two are among a few others, including Bill Lawrence, John Wells and Chuck Lorre, whose deals were suspended due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.

Variety He says the decision to suspend the agreements is “political” as talent can no longer provide their services due to strikes.
The deal suspensions began as early as May, shortly after the WGA strike began. At the time, this did not include producers who had shows in production.
After SAG-AFTRA members joined the strike, many of the planned projects had to be put on hold and due to current politics, agreements were put on hold.
Due to the strikes, many networks have changed their upcoming schedules for the 2023-2024 fall television season, including Disney+, CBS and more.
